Divorce Party on the Tyra Banks Show

The first time I heard about Divorce Party was when I watched a recent episode of the Tyra Banks Show.

Breaking-up with someone whom you dated for months or years can really be painful. How much more if you had started a family with them? I have never been through such thing but obviously it must be a really hard choice to make especially if kids are involved. One guest at the show stated tha she had known that the marriage was no longer that good after 3 years but then she stayed with the husband for another 15 years.

The episode started with the women doing something therapeutic to let go of their excess baggages. One of the guest cut her wedding pictures into pieces, another had shredded her marriage license and the other girls did similar symbolic acts of moving on.

Amy Botwinick, author of the book “Congratulations on Your Divorce” was also present at the show to give some advice to the newly single ladies.

I was watching an old episode of Tyra Banks Show on Youtube. The topic was about teen prostitution. It’s very sad to see young girls having to undergo such horrible circumstances. They did it by choice but I think they are young enough to engage on those activities. The guests were Victoria, a former teen prostitute that started doing it when she was 14 years old, Sasha Grey, a porn star that joined the adult industry just after she turned 18 years old and Tiana, a former teen prostitute and a porn star. Sasha Grey is still in the adult industry business, and she had also admitted to having STD at one time.I don’t want to be very judgemental about it because at the age of 18, she had the legal right to decide what she want to do with her own body. However, I do not agree with a lot of things that she claims. While looking at her, she really looked so pretty. If she want to be an actress, a producer or a director, she can choose those path without having to do porn.

Freakin’ Fabulous

I watched an episode of The Tyra Banks Show last week wherein their featured guest is the host of “What Not to Wear” and also the author of the book, Freakin’ Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Behave, Eat, Drink, Entertain, Decorate, and Generally Be Better than Everyone Else.

Clinton Kelly gave some tips on how to look “freakin’ fabulous.” He hit the streets of NYC to ambush some fashion victims and give them a great makeover. I wish I can get a copy of this book.

Lately, I have been watching The Tyra Banks Show every weekdays at the ETC Channel. Tyra Banks’ talk show is all about empowering women. A few days ago, she interviewed single moms at the show. Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, also a single mom, was a guest and she also performed a song for the audience.

A single mom’s plight is not very easy but I with the right attitude and knowing that your baby depends on you makes life worth living.

I love watching Tyra Banks. The audience are also lucky because they get a lot of freebies.
