Due to NBI’s issue with their previous service provider, a lot of people are having a hard time securing their NBI Clearance. It takes a month to get an NBI clearance from provincial satellite offices. While other satellite offices in Manila will make you line up just for the NBI form and ask you to go back the next day if they can’t accommodate you!

I’m glad I learned that it’s relatively easy to get an NBI clearance at Robinson’s Otis. I was there at around 6:00 am yesterday, and I think I was the 50th person in the line.  Not bad huh! ?  We were allowed to go to the second floor  at around 8 am. We were given forms to fill out. There’s a line on the form that asks for your RELFLECTION which is most likely “religion”! Spell check the forms please! There’s only a single line for payment, data verification and 2 lines for the picture-taking and biometrics. Yes, they are using biometrics instead of the usual ink pads to get your finger prints. At least we no longer have to pay for the tissue to wipe out the ink from our hands. lol

I overheard a lot of people saying they tried to go to other satellite offices but they didn’t have any luck! So, I’m really glad I was able to get my NBI clearance right away. I got out of the building at almost 11 am. But if you have a “hit”, they will ask you to go to the NBI main office after 7 days (that’s what I heard). Good luck!

    Thanks so much for this info. I was in Robinson’s Otis around 11:15 in the morning. I was expecting a lot of people there since it is a weekend, but there were only around 50 of us getting our NBI Clearance. I finished the entire process after around 45 mins only but i was not able to get my NBI clearance since my name is in the Hit List.

    During weekdays, they start entertaining applicants at around 8 am. They are open on weekends pero later time yata sila na-i-start.

    That, I am not really sure of, weekday kasi ako pumunta, but reading Karl’s comment (first comment), it seems that he was able to do the process on a weekend. Ask natin sya. hehe :)

    Wala na pong renewal ngayon. Everyone has to do the same steps in applying for the clearance. :) I paid 115 pesos to get mine.

    my friend and I went to caloocan today for the nbi clearance, we got there around 6am and there were already hundreds for people. we waited in line for almost 3 hours but still wasn’t able to get our nbi because the branch gave out schedules. we’re going to try robinsons otis tomorrow! thanks for sharing your experience! wish us luck! thanks!:)

    hi! anyone know the telephone number of the NBI clearance center in Robinson Otis? i’m just wondering why my released date is way too far: Sept 15, 2011. that’s 13 working days, and almost 3 weeks! i applied last Aug 25, 2011. perhaps it should be Sept 5 and not Sept 15? or normal lang na ganun katagal pag may hit? sabi ng iba 3 days lang daw e :(

    Just came from otis, saturday is only for releases. At ever gotesco grand central, operation is mon-fri from 8-5pm only.

    Try nyo po sa ever commonwealth. Pumila ako kanina ng 4 am. Pinapasok kami mga 8am. Ok naman yung pila. Masusungit lang talaga yung mga employee ng NBI. Dapat mababait sila since we are paying them with our taxes di po ba? Anyway may HIT ako so babalik ako after 13 days. Hays pwede kaya ako mag apply ng NBI ulet sa ibang branch o standard 13 days na talaga ngayon yung releasing pag may HIT?

    Hit po ang ibig sabihin ay may kapangalan ka sa hitlist ng NBI. Yung katukayo mo or similar name ay may kaso na nakarecord sa nbi. kung may hit sa name mo di ka na pupunta sa main babalikan mo ito kung saan ka nag apply.

    Salamat sa blog na ito sobrang nakakatulong sa mga mag aaply ng NBI Clearance.
    Sobrang hassle nga ang pag aapply ngayon mas madali pa yun dating proseso.
    Dapat talaga madaling araw pa lang nasa area ka na dahil mahaba talaga ang pila. :(

    Panu binago na naman ng gobyerno ang systems nila, di na ung dati kaya super tagal tlaga ngayun. Ako kanina nag apply it took me 3 1/2 hours tpus may hit pa daw ung name ko, sna bago before picture & finger printing sa verification pa lang name nalalaman na may HIT ksu last part pa malalaman. Naayus ko na ung HIT name ko before ngayun back to zero pala :( . Ala din bisa ung dating NBI clearance na sana dun na lang sila nag based pra mas madali. Ang susungit pa ng mga taga NBI dpat magalang sila ksu laging pasigawa pag tinanung mo. I hope sana may pagbabago naman sa Gobyerno at marealised ng mga taga NBI na sa atin sila kumikita.

    hello san ka nag apply ng nbi mo..is it take months sa pagkuha ng nbi mo ngayon?kasi this october 8 i need to wait 2 months bago namin marecieve ung nbi namin,nag apply ako sa dumaguete branch,pwidi ba malaman san ung pinakamadali na kumuha ng nbi need ko taaga ang nbi soon us posible ehh /…

    Hi! I’m glad I stumbled by this post. I was able to get my clearance in less than an hour lang this week. Parang mas mahaba pa nga yung oras going there to Rob Otis than the NBI process itself, eh.

    hello poh galing ako kanina sa nbi branch ng dumaguete city ask ko lang if matagal poh ba ang pagkuha ng nbi ngayon kasi sabi nila makukuhako ang nbi ko with in 2 months..ano po ba ung totoo pls i need the ans kakailanganin ko kasi ang pagkuha ng nbi as soon us posible,,, san po ba na branch ang mas madali kumuha ng nbi ngayon? today is date of october 8……

    NBI sat office here is fast. I just got a HIT so i have to return in 2 weeks. 2 weeks is long and i need that clearance for DFA again. Sana mas mabilis naman pag may HIT ka sa NBI list. We clearances fast. I cant wait 2 weeks.

    TY so much for this post. i thought duduguin ako when i saw a post experience in ortigas branch and that i have to be there as early as 3am. Thank goodness i stumbled on your post and it saved me. i was there around 6.30-ish and i was 15th in line.got it within the hour!also thankful i was not in the hitlist.you.are.my.hero. i also posted my experience sa pinoy thread forum to pay it fwd.^^

    gaano ba ang pinaka matagal na pag process ng RENEWAL ng N.B.I. clerance nag file kasi aq kanina (dec. 12 2011)tapos ang releasing sa (dec. 23) pa! at ang reason dahil common daw ang FIRST at LAST name ko. eh sa quiapo 1 day lang nakuha ko agad! eh parang mas advance yung technology nila diba! mayroon bang kaparehas ko ng experience ko d2 ganoon din kaya katagal ang releasing nyo? sa robinson OTIS?

    I applied for a new nbi clearance today but unfortunately i had a HIT. I couldnt believe it coz i still have my old nbi clearance dated aug 5,2011 (without a hit). After just 5 months i have a similar name?? How can this be possible? I asked the guy doing the biometrics but he just smile! Could it be the purpose? Last august i applied for visa seaman purpose and today my purpose was visa canada…. Grrrrr. Any advise? Explanation? Thnks…

    contributing… i also went to rob otis last feb 6. got there at 11:30 after checking out the main office at taft (kahit 2000 kaya nila i-process, 6am pa lang daw cut-off na. WTF.). the security guard told me that it was also cut-off for the branch but i went up anyway. got to the 2nd floor, fell in line and after 45 minutes of hoping, was handed a form to fill out. (turns out i was #483) at about 1:30, i was able to pay and complete step 1. at about 4:30 i was able to complete step 2 and 3. as expected i got HIT so i gotta go back on feb 21. still better that other nbi branches i guess! hope this gives you an idea on what ur going to be up against! :D

    Just wanna tell you that you’re info was a Heaven’s sent. Thank you very much! Got mine today, 02/22/2012, arrived at the end of the line at 9:30 am. By my count, there may have been 270+ before us. But we still manage to complete everything by 12:00pm. But in fairness dito,every steps took an average of 2-3 mins the rest was just waiting in line. It was organized kasi meron tao na nagmamanage ng lines to keep the people in order. There were only 2 encoders on this branch kaya mjo hirap sila i-tackle yung applicants nila buy the hundreds daily. If you get no hits, sure shot na within the day you’ll get what you came for.

    A few tips for you fellas & ladies who decide to go here:

    - Coming in as early as 7:00 a.m. give’s you a better chance na mkaupo kaagad sa section na may monobloc, hehehehe

    - Applying/Renewing together with a friend also helps in case you need to take turns going to the CR or getting snack or drinks.

    - Check the NBI website if you have additional questions regarding your requirements. Knowing & preparing EXACTLY what you need to submit really helps. (For those with slightly more complex applications, like overseas employment, change of data, etc. or any of the sort)

    -Bringing the the exact amount when paying really contributes to everybody’s benefit (I saw a section of the line kanina 15 sila sunod sunod with exact payments, mga 5 mins lang!)

    Basically the experience was like this, 30mins pila na nkatayo, 30mins pila na nkaupo. then 30mins ulit na pila nakatayo, 1 min payment sa cashier, 30 mins ulit na tayo, 30mins na upo, 1-2 mins sa encoding, tpos mga 10-15mins at biometrics, photo and releasing. Fun di ba?

    When you might look at it 2 & 1/2 hrs is still quite a long wait. But considering we arrived a little late in the morning and we didn’t have to line up as early as 4:30am to make a cut off, its still a better ending compared to the stories that im sure you heard from others.

    So Pink, thank you so much for your info. I hope more and more people would do these kinds of initiatives since it really helps a lot of people. Good Luck!
