How Do You Pronounce Sbarro?

Sbarro is a popular pizza restaurant, not only in the Philippines but all over the world. This American food chain specializes in Italian cuisine. A few weeks ago, my sister and I decided to eat in Sbarro (SM Megamall branch).  She was asking me “How do you pronounce Sbarro?” Do you say it as “is-ba-ro” or “si-ba-ro”? Is the “s” at the start of the word silent?  The first time I ate there, I told her I also got curious about the pronunciation of the restaurant’s name.

From what I know Sbarro is the last name of the founders of the said restaurant and it’s pronounced as zah-bahr-ro. Correct me if I am wrong. But however it’s pronounced, I really love their pizzas especially the Chicago Supreme.
