Why Quit Smoking?
Posted by pink on November 30, 2009
Smokers are aware that their addiction is bad for their health. But with any vices, they find it hard to stop doing it. My first try in smoking was in my teen years. Fortunately, it’s something I did not enjoy because it left a bitter taste on my tongue. Then I realized, why would I spend on something that’s disadvantageous for my health? I’d rather use the money for shopping. But then, it’s another story for my dad. When I was younger, I would often see him with a pack of cigarettes in his pocket. He smokes but not near us because he fully knows that second-hand smoking is much worse.
One day, I just noticed that he does not smoke anymore. I asked him what made him quit smoking. He said that it is something he had always wanted to do but he does not have the will power to stick to his promise. It was also giving him withdrawal symptoms. It’s true, nothing can make you stop smoking but yourself. It’s a hard but good decision to make.
If you are one of those who wants to quit smoking but finds it difficult to do it, you are not alone. Remember, others were able to do it, then so can you. I suggest that you read myquitsmokingdiary.com. The site is all about quitting that bad habit.
