Would You Date a Friend’s Ex-Boyfriend?

Would You Date a Friend’s Ex-Boyfriend? Here’s the scenario. Your close buddy dated a guy for a few years and they had an amicable break up after that. Fast forward, one year later, you bump into the guy again and then after a few weeks, he seems to be showing his interest on you. You are still very close with your pal whom who dated. However, you start liking the guy. Would you date the guy too?

If I was on that position, there would be a lot of factors that I would consider.

1. I am a very loyal friend. If my friend is not over the guy yet, I won’t date him. Since this situation can make it awkward for the three of us, I would rather look for other fishes in the sea.

2. Would I be able to handle the fact that she was my close friends ex-boyfriend? Personally, I would prefer NOT dating any of my friend’s man from the past. I hope I would never be in a situation wherein I would be attracted to an ex-boyfriend of a close pal.

3. Another factor would be the length of their relationship. If they dated for a few months (let’s say 2 months) , then I think it’s acceptable. However, if they have been together for years,  I do not think I would take the chance of dating him.
