title pic How to Treat Acne

Posted by pink on November 25, 2008

Acne vulgaris or commonly known as acne does not occur on puberty stage alone. It can affect people from 10 to 40 years old. I think a lot of people get acne at some time in their lives. I do have ocassional acne  on the t-zone of my face. There are times that it really bothers me, but there are also days that I just forget about it. A good basic skin care regimen for those who have acne prone skin includes cleansing your face with 5% benzoyl peroxide wash and then applying a  5% benzoyl peroxide cream to the affected areas.

If you are not able to control these acne break outs with home solutions, you can also consult a dermatologist. There are several means of curing acne. This includes taking oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, cortisone injections, isotretinoin and laser acne treatment.
