title pic Photoscape: Free Photo Editing Software

Posted by pink on November 10, 2008

Photoscape is my alternative to Photoshop. I enjoy editing pictures a lot but my computer does not have an Adobe Photoshop. No question about it, Adobe Photoshop is the best photo editing software, but I cannot afford it right now. There are pirated versions I see somewhere but I would not resort to that.

While checking my sister’s Friendster account, I thought that she used Adobe Photoshop in some of her edited pictures, only to find out she was using Photoscape. I tried it myself and I was impressed. It feels like I am using an Adobe Photoshop. But Photoscape is FREE. You can download the software here.

As I was testing the features, I was able to come up with this:

Photoscape Key Features

* Viewer: View your folders photos, slideshow
* Editor: resizing, brightness and color adjustment, white balance, backlight correction, frames, balloons, mosaic mode, adding text, drawing pictures, cropping, filters, red eye removal, blooming

* Combine: Make one photo by attaching multiple photos vertically or horizontally
* Animated GIF: Make one animation photo with multiple photos
