Even Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner can suffer from a broken heart.
What happens to a reality show when there’s a break up between couples in real life. Ironically, I don’t find reality shows “real”. They are still acting in front of the camera don’t they? Their actions or words are influenced by the thought that people are watching them.
“The Girls Next Door”, a reality show that premiered on E! in 2001 and currently in its fifth season, stars Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends, Kendra Wilkinson, Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison. Recently, the 82-year old owner of Playboy Mansion has split from girlfriend 28-year old Holly Madison. Six months ago, Hefner revealed that he has no plans of getting hitched and having children again which led to Madison’s disappoinment. Well, some good things never last…especially a special case of a May-December love affair.
To the fans of the Girls Next door, don’t worry, there would still be a sixth season which the casts will start filming in the New Year.

Hmmmm, interesting how our society is so willing to call these three prostitutes Hefner’s girlfriends. The fact that he says he’ll just go out and get some more only solidifies the fact of what they really are.
