Pink for October 2008
Posted by pink on October 5, 2008
Recently, American actress Christina Applegate had announced that she had a breast cancer. She is now cancer free after having undergone a double mastectomy. Breast cancer is a common disease among women nowadays. Hence, let’s support the Pink for October campaign to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. More than raising money to support this cause, the primary reason us is to educate ourselves about the multiple issues related to Breast Cancer. To reduce your risk of Breast Cancer, awareness is the key. To ensure that your breasts are healthy, you should undergo annual mammogram and a breast exam during your annual checkup. Regular screening also increases the chance that your doctor will detect the cancer when it’s on the early stage and easier to cure.
